Year 8 GATE tutoring for Year 9 selective entry
Everest Tutoring prepares Year 8 students for the Year 9 GATE entry test with a January intensive of six 2.5-hour masterclasses, a timed mock and a review with a parent-tutor interview, for $450. Weekly Term 1 classes continue at Harrisdale and Willetton. Classes are capped at 10.

How a lesson runs
The tutor introduces or revises the concept with worked examples on the board, one component at a time.
Students work from the Everest booklet while the tutor checks every student's working, so mistakes are caught in the room.
The last part of every class is doubt time and one-to-one guidance. Nobody moves on until everyone has it, and the booklet goes home with answers at the back.
