What the term fee covers

One price, no extras. Booklets, marking, reports and support are all inside the term fee.

  • Printed Everest booklets with worked examples, practice sets and answers
  • Homework checked in class, with the tutor seeing every student's working each week
  • A topic test each unit and a written report at the end of the term
  • Access to the GATE AI Question Bank for enrolled GATE students
  • 24/7 tutor support through the Everest app
  • Two missed-class credits a term with 24 hours notice
  • The first class, free, before you pay anything
Not charged

What you are never billed for

There is no enrolment fee, no booking fee, no materials fee and no exit fee. The first class is free with no payment details taken. Mock exams inside a GATE term are included, and the free GATE mock exam for Year 4 and 5 students new to Everest costs nothing at all.

Working out the hourly rate. A $400 ATAR term is ten one-hour classes, so $40 an hour with a tutor who marks the work in front of you. Divide any term price by ten to compare it with an hourly rate.
Discounts and terms

The billing rules, beside the prices.

Written out here rather than buried, because a surprise on an invoice costs more trust than it saves money.

Australian Consumer Law rights are preserved. Everest does not guarantee specific academic outcomes.
TermWhat it means
Sibling discount10% off for one sibling, 15% off for two or more. Group classes only.
Referral discountThe referrer and the new family each get 20% off that term, stacking to a cap of the full fee. New students only, claimed at enrolment.
StackingDiscounts do not stack with each other. The highest single discount applies.
Joining mid-termJoin any week. Fees are pro-rated so you pay only for the weeks remaining in the term.
Missed classesUp to two missed classes a term carry forward as credit to the next term when you give at least 24 hours notice. Catch-ups are subject to availability; otherwise materials are provided.
RefundsNo refunds for missed classes or change of mind. Enrolment commits you to the term's fees. If Everest cancels a class, you receive a credit or a refund.
One-to-one cancellationsCancel with at least 24 hours notice and nothing is charged. Under 24 hours is charged in full.
Interview programmeA full refund within 14 days of enrolling, and fees convert to Everest tutoring credit if no interview invitation arrives.

Small group against a private tutor

Ten weeks of a small-group subject costs less than half of ten private hours, and buys the same tutors.

Group classes are capped at 10 and usually run with six to eight students, so the tutor still checks every student's work each week.
OptionContact time over a termCostPer hour
10 weeks of small-group class (one subject)10 hours, plus homework marked in class$350 to $400$35 to $40
10 hours with a private tutor10 hours, one to one$600 to $900$60 to $90

For a specific gap or an exam in the next fortnight, one-to-one is the better buy. For steady progress across a term, the small group gives more contact time per dollar and the student sees how other students answer.

Questions about fees and billing

Do I pay before the free trial class?
No. The trial class needs no payment details at all. You book it, your child attends, a tutor calls or messages you afterwards, and only then do you decide whether to enrol.
Can I pay by instalments?
Group classes are invoiced per term in advance by card. If a term fee does not suit your household budget, ask the centre team: one-to-one is charged after each session instead, and UCAT is billed fortnightly.
What happens if we withdraw part way through a term?
Enrolment commits you to that term's fees, so there is no refund for the remaining weeks, and no refund for missed classes or a change of mind. Up to two missed classes a term carry forward as credit with 24 hours notice. Enrolment does not roll into the next term without your say.
Do prices differ by centre?
No. Harrisdale, Willetton, Perth Modern and the online classes all charge the same. The on-campus Harrisdale Senior High School programme is priced weekly ($35 for one subject, $60 for two, $80 for three) because it is booked through the school's own system.
Is GST included?
Yes. Every figure on this page includes GST, and there is no enrolment fee, booking fee or materials fee on top. Booklets are included in the term fee.
