What it is

Volume, timed, marked as you go.

The part of GATE preparation that needs repetition, without a parent having to find and mark the questions.

  • Sets filtered by component, so a student drills the one thing the report flagged
  • A timer on every set, because the real test is a speed test as much as a reasoning test
  • Instant marking with a worked explanation on every multiple-choice item
  • Writing tasks set here and marked by a tutor against the WA writing criteria
  • A progress view the tutor uses to plan the next class

What an abstract reasoning question looks like

Question. In each box of the top row, a shape is shaded and then rotated a quarter turn clockwise. In the second row, the same shape is shaded and rotated a quarter turn anticlockwise, and one extra dot is added each time. The fourth box of the second row is missing.

Which option belongs in the missing box? A: the shape rotated three quarter turns anticlockwise with three dots. B: the shape rotated three quarter turns anticlockwise with four dots. C: the shape rotated three quarter turns clockwise with four dots. D: the shape rotated one quarter turn anticlockwise with four dots.

Answer: B. Two rules run at once: rotation direction and a count that increases by one each box. Students who miss items like this usually find one rule and stop looking for the second, which is exactly what the explanation after each item points out.

Questions about the question bank

Is the question bank an extra cost?
No. It is included in the term fee for enrolled GATE students, and students who sit the free GATE mock exam get trial access at no cost. There is no separate subscription to buy.
Does the bank replace the class?
No. The class is where a component is taught and where writing is marked by a person. The bank is where a student gets volume: timed sets between classes so speed and accuracy improve without a parent having to source questions.
Who writes the questions?
Everest tutors write and review every item, using AI to help draft and vary questions rather than to publish them unchecked. Items that students or tutors flag are rewritten, and the bank grows each term.
Are writing tasks marked by the computer?
No. Writing tasks are set in the bank but marked by a tutor against the WA writing criteria, in class or with written feedback. Only the multiple-choice components are marked instantly.
What device does my child need?
Any laptop, tablet or phone with a browser. Progress saves as they go, so a set started on a laptop can be finished on a tablet.
